MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 17, 2019
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JONATHAN WARD AND JOSEPH OWENS. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS, ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING AS CORRECTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE GRINDING OF JUNE RD IS APPROXIMATELY HALF COMPLETED. IRISH RD NORTH OF BACHELOR HAS HAD EMULSION AND STONE APPLIED WHERE NEEDED. THE 2014 F-550 IS IN NEED OF BATTERIES AND TIRES AS A BELT BROKE IN THE SPARE TIRE.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – THE FALL CARROLL CO TWP ASSN DINNER IS ON 10-24-2019 AT FFA CAMP MUSKINGUM. RECIEVED A DRIVEWAY PERMIT APPLICATION FROM BRUNER LAND CO FOR A PROPERTY ON HALO RD.
J. LITTLE REPORTED THAT AT THE INTERSECTION OF BRIAR AND THUNDER RD A DIP NEEDS FIXED TO DRAIN THE WATER AWAY. ON HOLLY RD FROM THE SMEAD PROPERTY TO THE TOWNSHIP LINE THE BERMS NEED GRADED. HAVE BEEN CHECKING ON TRACTORS W/BOOM MOWERS TO REPLACE THE CASE 895. PLANS ARE TO WORK ON THE DRAINAGE AND DITCH WORK AROUND THE TOWNSHIP GARAGE/OFFICE ON 10-25 AND 10-26-2019.
J. OWENS REPORTED THAT A RESIDENT CONTACTED HIM ABOUT THE STARTUP OF A DAYCARE AT 4205 IRISH RD AND THAT THE OWNERS WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE CHILDREN AT PLAY SIGNS IF THEY WANTED THEM AND THEY HAD SOME CONCERNS ABOUT DUST IN SOME SPOTS OF IRISH RD. HALO RD ON THE NORTH SIDE NEAR THE BURKHART PROPERTY NEEDS THE DITCH CUT TO CUT A DIVERSION FOR THE WATER TO GO INTO THE WOODS.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO CANCEL THE REGULAR MEETING ON 12-5-2019 TO ALLOW ELECTED OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES TO ATTEND THE CO. ENGINEER’S ANNUAL MEETING ON THE SAME DATE AND SET A SPECIAL MEETING FOR 12-4-2019 TO ALLOW THE BOARD TO MEET WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF OMEGA REGARDING SECURING GRANTS FOR THE TOWNSHIP. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. WARD RECIEVED A RESPONSE FROM RYAN MORRIS OF HERITAGE RD THAT HE WOULD NOT PUT IN A DRIVEWAY CULVERT AS REQUESTED BY THE TRUSTEES. THERE IS A CONTINUAL NEED TO KEEP WATCHING FOR ANY DITCH WASHOUTS ON TOWNSHIP ROADS. HEMP AND HOLIDAY ROADS NEED TO BE CHECKED IF DRAGING IS NEEDED TO GET THE WATER OFF THE ROADS.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:00 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
