MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 3, 2002
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES –
MICHAEL REED, JOHN LITTLE AND JOSEPH OWENS. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS,
ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE
MEETING OF 10-20-2022 AS CORRECTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE
ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT FOR 11-3-2022 – THAT WERE PRESENTED FOR
PAYMENT. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE ROAD DRAG WAS USED ON GRANADA RD TO
SMOOTH THE ROAD. FINAL MOWING OF CEMETARIES IS BEING COMPLETED WITH
UNION VALLEY AND OTHERS MOWED AS NEEDED. WILL ORDER ANOTHER 100 TONS OF
411 LIMESTONE. IRISH RD, NORTH AND SOUTH, HAVE BEEN BERMED AND #411
LIMESTONE APPLIED AS NEEDED.
ROADMAN’S REPORT – THE FALL CLEANUP OF DECORATIONS HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN
UNION VALLEY AND HARMONY CEMETARIES. HAVE CHECKED ON THE PRICING AND
QUALITY OF TOOLBOXES AT HARBOR FREIGHT, MENARD’S AND LOWE’S. AFTER
DISCUSSION THE DECISION WAS MADE TO HAVE R. RENNIE PURCHASE A TOOLBOX
FROM HARBOR FREIGHT.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – INFORMED THE BOARD THAT DAWSON GEOPHYSICAL IS
BEGINNING WORK IN THE TOWNSHIP IN PREPARATION FOR THE SESIMIC TESTING.
VARIOUS OTHER CORRESPONDCE WAS REVIEWED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING LEAVE FOR
TOWNSHIP EMPLOYEES : RICHARD RENNIE – SICK LEAVE ON 10-21-2022 – EIGHT (8)
HOURS AND TOM WITTS – PERSONAL LEAVE ON 11-4-2022 – 2.5 HOURS. ALL IN FAVOR,
MOTION PASSED.
RESOLUTION 19-2022 J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE
FOLLOWING REALLOCATIONS WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND TO COMPLETE PAYROLL AS
FOLLOWS : FROM 1000-110-599-0000 – $1000.00 TO 1000-110-211-0000 AND FROM 1000-110-
599-0000 $100.00 TO 1000-110-213-0000. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
CEMETARY REPORT – J. LITTLE REPORTED THAT REPAIRS TO THE MASOLEUM IN
FARBER-KNOTTS CEMETARY WILL DEPEND ON HAVING PROPER WEATHER FOR
REPAIRS.
J. OWENS REPORTED THAT TOWNSHIP ROADS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
AT 7:33 PM THE BOARD HELD THE BID OPENING FOR THE SALE OF THE 2004 CASE 580 SM
4X4 BACKHOE LOADER SERIAL # N4C306390. ONLY ONE (1) BID WAS RECEIVED THAT
WAS ABOVE THE STARTING BID OF $25,100.00.
RESOLUTION 20-2022 J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO ACCEPT THE BID OF
$25,650.00 FROM THOMAS R. WITTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE 2004 CASE 580 SM 4X4
BACKHOE LOADER SERIAL # N4C306390. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
RESOLUTION 21-2022 J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO PAY
SOUTHEASTERN EQUIPMENT COMPANY $93,635.00 FOR THE 2022 CASE CE 580SNWT
BACKHOE/LOADER AND 48 INCH DITCHING BUCKET UNDER ODOT CONTRACT #028-21.
ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS
ADJOURNED AT 7:40 PM ON A MOTION BY M. REED AND SECONDED BY J. LITTLE. ALL IN
FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
