ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 21, 2019
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JONATHAN WARD AND JOSEPH OWENS. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS, ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – WILL CHECK WITH SARCHIONE FORD ON TIRE PRICES FOR THE 2014 F-550 TRUCK. REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE TRUSSES IN THE SLAG STORAGE BIN. DRAGGING OF ROADS AS NEEDED AND APPLIED THREE LOADS OF #617 LIMESTONE TO SEVERAL ROADS AND FILLING OF POTHOLES. VARIOUS ROAD SIGNS, BRACES AND POSTS NEED TO BE REPLACED. SCRAP METAL WILL BE CLEANED UP AND AN ORDER FOR LIMESTONE WILL BE MADE FOR INVENTORY OF STONE.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – REMINDER OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING FOR 12-4-2019 AT 6:00 PM. WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM OMEGA REGARDING GRANTS WITH THE REGULAR MEETING ON 12-5-2019 CANCELLED TO ALLOW ELECTED OFFICIALS TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL COUNTY ENGINEER’S MEETING. VARIOUS CORRESPONDENCE WAS REVIEWED ALONG WITH PROJECTED 2019 END OF YEAR CASH BALANCES IN ALL FUNDS.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED THAT THERE ARE NO OB JECTIONS TO THE RENEWAL OF ANY LIQUOR PERMITS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING INCREASES IN THE REVENUE ACCOUNT BUDGET DUE TO RECIEVING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT, MISCELLANEOUS – GENERAL FUND AND GAS TAX – 1000-532-0000 – $3559.67, 1000-892-0000 – $907.05, 2021-537-0000 – $12,094.52, AND THE FOLLOWING INCREASES IN THE APPROPRIATION BUDGET – 1000-110-221-0000 – $4466.72, 2021-330-323-0000 – $2094.52, 2021-330-420-0000 – $10,000.00. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE DISCUSSED THE UPCOMING DATES FOR THE 2020 OHIO TOWNSHIP ASSN. ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN COLUMBUS. VARIOUS OPTIONS AND COSTS WERE DISCUSSED REGARDING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BOOM/SIDE MOWER AND TRACTOR.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO PAY EXPENSES FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS THAT ATTEND THE 2020 ANNUAL OHIO TOWNSHIP ASSN CONFERENCE IN COLUMBUS, OHIO FEBRUARY 5-8, 2020. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS ASKED IF THE BUS ROUTE SCHEDULES FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR HAD BEEN RECIEVED AND IT WAS NOTED THAT THE SCHEDULE FROM THE CARROLLTON VILLAGE DISCTRICT HAD BEEN RECIEVED AND NOT ONE FROM SANDY VALLEY SCHOOLS. INFORMED THE BOARD OF THE IMPORTANCE THAT THE 2020 CENSUS HAS IN HOW THE TAX REVENUE IF BASED FOR THE TOWNSHIP.
J. WARD REPORTED THAT CONSTRUCTION WILL BEGIN SOON ON THE AT & T CELLULAR TOWER ON STALLION RD.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:45 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
