ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 2, 2017
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JOSEPH OWENS AND JONATHAN WARD. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – UPDATED THE BOARD ON RECENT ROAD WORK WHICH INCLUDED PATCHING ROADS WITH THE TAR BUGGY (EMULSION) AND LIMESTONE AND ALSO WITH COLD PATCH MATERIAL, WITH THE RECENT RAINS WILL USE THE ROAD DRAG AS NECESSARY. THE BOARD ADVISED TO SECURE ADDITIONAL EMULSION AND COLD PATCH TO CONTINUE POT HOLE REPAIR AS THE WEATHER PERMITS.
FISCAL OFFICER’S R EPORT – PRESENTED THE RENEWAL OPTIONS FROM AULTCARE FOR THE TOWNSHIP’S HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE PLAN. J. LITTLE IS CHECKING ON OTHER ALTERNATIVE INSURANCE OPTIONS FOR THE TOWNSHIP.
J. WARD WILL BE CONTACTING MIDWEST INDUSTRIES ON THE FINAL REPORT FOR THE 2017 DUST CONTROL PROGRAM. HE ALSO REPORTED ON SEVERAL RECENT HOME SALES AND ALSO THAT SEVERAL BREAKINS HAVE OCCURRED IN THE TOWNSHIP.
J. OWENS STATED THAT THE NEW CARROLL ENERGY ELECTRIC GENERATION PLANT IS GIVING LIMESTONE TO TOWNSHIPS IN THE COUNTY. ALSO THAT THE TOWNSHIP ROADS ARE LOOKING GOOD AT THIS TIME.
J. LITTLE REPORTED ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF THE FOOTER FOR THE GRAVE MARKER IN HEITZ CEMETARY FOR JIM KLINE.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:35 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J.LITTLE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
