MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
MAY 2, 2019
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOSEPH OWENS, JOHN LITTLE AND JONATHAN WARD. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS, ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE CULVERT AT IRISH AND HERITAGE ROADS WAS UNPLUGGED WITH WATER WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE MAGNOLIA VOL FIRE DEPT. THERE ARE FOUR (4) MORE THAT NEED CLEANED. DITCHING AND CLEANING OF CULVERTS HAS STARTED ON SEVERAL ROADS. DUST CONTROL MATERIAL WILL BE PICKED UP AT D & D EMULSIONS AT MANSFIELD AND THE TAR BUGGY FILLED WITH EMULSION FOR PATCH WORK.
VACATION LEAVE WAS REQUESTED BY T. WITTS FOR JUNE 3-4, 2019 AND R. RENNIE FOR MAY 29, 2019.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – THE PAYMENT FOR ROAD REPAIR ON DEAD-END HERITAGE FROM CARROLL CO LOGGING CONTRACTOR FOR BELGIUM HARDWOODS WAS RECIEVED. ON 5-7-2019. WILL BE MEETING WITH AN OTARMA IT RISK CONTROL SPECIALIST TO REVIEW COMPUTER SECURITY PROCEDURES.
J. LITTLE REPORTED THAT THE COUNTY SURVEYOR HAS BEGUN THE LAYOUT OF THE NEW SECTION AT UNION VALLEY CEMETARY.
J. OWENS SPOKE WITH ROD CAIRNS OF GRANADA RD IN REGARDS TO CATCH BASIN AND CULVERT NEAR HIS PROPERTY AND SEVERAL OTHERS ALONG GRANADA RD. NOTED THAT THE BOARD NEEDS TO COMPLETE A ROAD AUDIT TO DETERMINE WHAT AREAS AND ITEMS NEED ATTENTION FOR UPKEEP AND OR REPAIR.
J. WARD WILL CONTACT MCINTOSH OIL ON A PRICE FOR A SMALL GRAVITY TANK FOR UNLEADED GASOLINE FOR TOWNSHIP USE.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:10 PM ON A MOTION BY J. LITTLE AND SECONDED BY J. OWENS. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
