ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
CARROLL COUNTY, OHIOMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 3, 2017
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JOSEPH OWENS AND JONATHAN WARD. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE MOTOR ON THE TAR BUGGY NEEDS SOME REPAIRS. POTHOLE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE ON SEVERAL ROADS WITH USING #411 LIMESTONE OR EMULSION WITH LIMESTONE APPLIED. WILL CHECK WITH THE CARROLL CO ENGINEER TO SEE IF ANY MORE DURAPATCH IS AVAILABLE FOR PATCHING.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – THE BALANCE OF THE 2016 OPERATING LOAN WILL BE PAID IN FULL AFTER THE 2ND HALF REAL ESTATE TAX SETTLEMENT IS RECEIVED. THE CARROLL CO TWP ASSN FISH FRY IS 8-24-2017 AND THERE WILL BE A MEETING ABOUT THE 2020 CENSUS IN CARROLLTON ON 8-15-2017. REVIEWED OTHER CORRESP0NDENCE THAT HAD BEEN RECEIVED.
J. WARD REPORTED THAT MIDWEST INDUSTRIES HAD SPOT TREATED SEVERAL ROADS WITH DUST CONTROL THIS WEEK.
J. OWENS REPORTED THAT PATCHING IS NEEDED ON ROSE RD NEAR THE EWING REISDENCE AND SPOTS ON SOME OTHER ROADS. DISCUSSION OF GRINDING INDIGO, HARTWOOD AND FARGO WEST OF SR 542 TOOK PLACE. IT WAS NOTED THAT EXTRA HELP WOULD BE NEEDED FOR THE GRINDING WORK.
J. LITTLE STATED THAT THE TRANSFER OF PROPERTY FROM THE LINDER FAMILY TO THE TOWNSHIP FOR THE ADDITION TO UNION VALLEY CEMETARY IS NOW COMPLETED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:15 PM ON A MOTION BY J. WARD AND SECONDED BY J. OWENS. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
