ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
CARROLL COUNTY, OHIO
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 15, 2018
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JONATHAN WARD AND JOSEPH OWENS. FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING AS PRESENTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE CARROLL CO PROSECUTOR IN REGARDS TO HAVING A CURRENT CREDIT CARD POLICY IN PLACE THAT FOLLOWS THE CURRENT OHIO REVISED CODE. IN REGARDS TO A LETTER RECEIVED FROM THE DIVISION OF LIQUOR CONTROL THE BOARD STATED THAT THEY HAVE NO OBJECTIONS TO THE RENEWAL OF ANY CURRENT LIQUOR PERMITS IN THE TOWNSHIP. OTHER MISCELLANEOUS CORRESPONDENCE WAS REVIEWED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE DEPOSITORY AGREEMENT WITH THE BANK OF MAGNOLIA FOR THE PERIOD OF 1-1-2019 THROUGH 12-31-2019. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO CANCEL THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING ON 12-6-2018 TO ALLOW THE ELECTED OFFICIALS TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL COUNTY ENGINEER AND TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES ASSOCIATION MEETING BEING HELD THE SAME EVENING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
THE BOARD REITERATED THAT BY THE OHIO REVISED CODE ALL FUNERAL DIRECTORS MUST PRESENT A BURIAL PERMIT PRIOR TO ANY BURIAL IN THE TOWNSHIP.
J. LITTLE SPOKE WITH THE COUNTY ENGINEER ON SEVERAL ITEMS PERTAINING TO THE TOWNSHIP. FIRST WAS WITH REGARDS TO THISTLE ROAD BEING VACATED ALONG WITH SEVERAL OTHER ROADS WITH THE INFORMATION BEING UPDATED ON THE ODOT WHEELER BILL. NEXT WAS ESTABLISHING A MUTUAL TIME TO HAVE THE NEW SECTION OF UNION VALLEY CEMETERY SURVEYED TO ESTABLISH A GRID TO LAYOUT ADDITIONAL GRAVES.
THE BOARD AGREED TO HAVE ROADMAN RICHARD RENNIE TO BE IN CHARGE OF DETAILS FOR SNOW PLOWING OF TOWNSHIP ROADS FOR THE 2018/2019 WINTER SEASON.
J. LITTLE AND THE OTHER BOARD MEMBERS WANT TO THANK THE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS FOR THE RECENT PASSAGE OF THE RENEWAL OF THE 2.0 MILL ROAD LEVY.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO PAY ALLOWABLE EXPENSES FOR ANY ELECTED OFFICIALS ATTENDING THE 2019 ANNUAL OHIO TOWNSHIP ASSOCIATION MEETING IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO CHANGE THE 2018 CLOSEOUT MEETING TO DECEMBER 29, 2018 AT 8:00 AM. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:55 PM ON A MOTION BY J.OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. LITTLE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
