MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 2, 2016
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JONATHAN WARD AND JOHN LITTLE. ROAD SUPERVISOR – KEVIN DOWNES AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.

ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE SOIL SEMENT PRODUCT HAS BEEN APPLIED TO THE SECTIONS OF JUNE AND HERITAGE ROADS THAT WERE GROUND RECENTLY AND LAST FALL. ABOUT HALF OF THE TOWNSHIP ROADS HAVE BEEN MOWED AND THE REST WILL BE COMPLETED SOON. THE NEXT ROADS FOR DITCHING AND GRINDING WILL BE HALO WEST FROM BARK RD AND HARTWOOD RD. JTA EXPRESS SERVICE WILL CHECK THE BRAKES ON THE ROAD GRADER.
FISCAL OFFICER REPORT – THE CARROLL CO TWP ASSN STEAK FRY WILL BE ON JUNE 16. A NEW ADDRESS FOR A HOUSE WAS RECEIVED ON THE WACKERLY PROPERTY ON IMPERIAL RD. REPORTED ON THE BALANCE OF THE OPERATING EXPENSE LOAN WITH THE BANK OF MAGNOLIA, THE POSSIBLE STONE YARD TO BE DEVELOPED IN MINERVA BY THE OHI-RAIL CORP AND THE EPA HEARING DATES FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE ROVER PIPELINE.
JULY 7, 2016 WAS SET FOR THE 2017 ROSE TOWNSHIP BUDGET HEARING AT 8:00 PM AT THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE DURING THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING.
J. WARD REPORTED CHECKING THE APPLICATION OF SOIL SEMENT ON JUNE AND DEAD END HERITAGE ROADS 24 HOURS AFTER APPLICATION AND THE RESULTS ARE GOOD.
MR. DARR HAD QUESTIONS FOR THE BOARD ABOUT THE SOIL SEMENT PRODUCT AS TO HOW THE PRODUCT CONTROLS THE ROAD DUST AND HOW IT IS APPLIED.
J. LITTLE REPORTED THAT HE HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH BRIAN LINDER IN REGARDS TO THE DONATION / TRANSFER OF PROPERTY TO THE UNION VALLEY CEMETARY. DETAILS ARE BEING DISCUSSED ON THE MATTER. J. WARD WILL WORK ON THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND OTHER REAL ESTATE ISSUES.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:00 PM ON A MOTION BY J. WARD AND SECONDED BY J. LITTLE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
