MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
DECEMBER 17, 2020
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOSEPH OWENS, JOHN LITTLE AND JONATHAN WARD. ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. JWARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE 12-3-2020 MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROADMAN’S REPORT – THE BELT TENSIONER ON THE CASE 580 BACKHOE WAS REPLACED. HAVE BEEN CUTTING TREES AND BRUSH ON HONEY AND FARGO ROADS WITH THE USE OF PIKE TWP’S CHIPPER. DISINFECTANT IS BEING SPRAYED DAILY IN THE OFFICE / GARAGE AND IN ANY EQUIPMENT AND TRUCKS USED THAT DAY. SNOWPLOWING ON TOWNSHIP ROADS HAS BEEN DONE ON 12-16 AND 12-17-2020. AN INCIDENT REPORT OF 12-15-2020 AT 8:30 AM INVOLVING A TREE/BRUSH HITTING THE 2014 F-550 WAS DISCUSSED.
THE BOARD REVIEWED THE PROPER INCIDENT AND SAFETY PROCEDURES THAT TOWNSHIP EMPLOYEES ARE TO FOLLOW AT ALL TIMES.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE 1.0 MILL FIRE LEVY AND THE 2.69 MILL ROAD DISTRICT III LEVY WILL BE PLACED ON THE BALLOT FOR A VOTE IN THE NOVEMBER 2021 GENERAL ELECTION. AN OFFER TO LEASE ROSE TOWNSHIP PARCEL NO – 30-0000549-000 0.59 ACRES OF UNION VALLEY CEMETARY FOR OIL / GAS WAS REJECTED BY THE BOARD. THE COMPANY WILL BE NOTIFIED OF THE REJECTION OF THE OFFER.
J. WARD REPORTED ON THE 6-2019 CLAIM TO THE OHIO EMA REGARDING INVOICES REQUESTED SHOWING THE PURCHASE OF LIMESTONE BY THE TOWNSHIP USED IN THE REPAIR OF ROADS FROM THE STORM DAMAGE. THIS WILL BE FORWARDED ON.
J. LITTLE REPORTED ON THE RECENT BURIAL OF BYRON ARNOLD IN UNION VALLEY CEMETARY. A HALO RD RESIDENT OFFERED TO HELP CONSTRUCT A SIGN FOR THE HEITZ CEMETARY ON HALO RD. A REQUEST FROM ZAC POOLE OF 5231 FRESNO RD WAS RECIEVED REQUESTING STONE AT THE DRIVEWAY AT THIS ADDRESS THE TOWNSHIP USES TO TURN TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT AROUND.
J. OWENS REPORTED THAT BALANCE OF THE 150 CARES ACT PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PACKETS WERE DISTRIBUTED ON 12-12-2020. THE DELLROY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL ALSO RECEIVE A CARES ACT PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PACKAGE CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING : FACE MASKS, FACE SHEILDS, GLOVES, TOUCHLESS THERMOMETERS, A SANITIZER SPRAYER WITH SANITIZER FLUID FOR FIRE DEPT PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO PURCHASE FIVE (5) LENOVA LAPTOP COMPUTERS WITH WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM AND MICROSOFT OFFICE FROM DAVALA TECHNIACAL SERVICES LLC AT A TOTAL COST OF $4670.00 USING CARES ACT FUNDING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED THAT TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETINGS BEGINNING WITH THE 1-21-2020 MEETING WILL BE VIA ZOOM.
J. WARD MOVED AND J.OWENS SECONDED TO PURCHASE A PROFESSIONAL VERSION OF THE ZOOM SOFTWARE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING LEAVE REQUESTS OF TOWNSHIP EMPLOYEES AS FOLLOWS : RICHARD RENNIE – 12-8-2020 ONE (1) HOUR PERSONAL LEAVE ; TOM WITTS – 12-4-2020, 12-10-2020, 12-11-2020 AND 12-17-2020 EIGHT (8) HOURS EACH DAY – TOTAL 32 HOURS PERSONAL LEAVE AND 12-18-2020 EIGHT (8) HOURS VACATION LEAVE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:30 PM ON A MOTION BY J. LITTLE AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
