MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 15, 2014
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOSEPH OWENS, JOHN LITTLE AND JONATHAN WARD. ROADMAN – MIKE NOBLE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING AS PRESENTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
GUESTS – BILL LUCAS, ANDERSON-CAMPBELL INS., OTARMA AGENT
JOHN PAVICK – FARGO RD RESIDENT
B. LUCAS EXPLAINED THE TOWNSHIP’S INSURANCE COVERAGES AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS FROM THE BOARD IN REGARDS TO VARIOUS ISSUES. THE COSTS FOR THE ANNUAL POLICY WERE EXPLAINED ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL COVERAGES THAT HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE POLICY.
ROADMAN’S REPORT – STATED THAT FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 9 HE HAS CONTACTED SEVERAL OTHER TOWNSHIPS TO ASSIST IN APPLYING STONE WHEN DUST CONTROL MATERIAL IS APPLIED. ON HOLLY RD ALONG THE BILL McDONNELL PROPERTY THERE ARE THREE (3) TREES IN NEED OF REMOVAL. ON GRANADA RD ALONG THE BRIAN CAIRNS PROPERTY THERE IS A 4-5 FT WASH OUT BELOW THE FRENCH DRAIN. THE CULVERT HAS BEEN INSTALLED ON STAFF RD NEAR THE KLINE PROPERTY.
THE FISCAL OFFICER REPORTED THAT THE STATE AUDIT FOR 2012-2013 IS NOT TO EXCEED $5100.00 IN COST. THE CARROLL CO TWP ASSN MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 17, 2014 AT THE GOLDEN AGE RETREAT AT 6:00 PM.
J. WARD REPORTED THAT THE MAILBOX FOR MARTIN’S ON HONEY RD HAS BEEN MOVED OUT OF THE ROADWAY AND THAT WATER RUNOFF PROBLEMS FROM THEIR DRIVEWAY WILL BE CORRECTED WHEN GOOD WEATHER ALLOWS.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO SEND A COPY OF THE LETTER FROM THE CARROLL CO ENGINEER TO THE CARROLL CO PROSECUTOR IN REGARDS TO THE MARTIN PROPERTY ON HONEY RD FOR AN OPINION. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL ATTEND THE SANDY VALLEY COMMUNITY DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM ON 4-16-2014 AT SANDY VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL TO LEARN ABOUT THE LOCAL DRUG PROBLEMS.
J. LITTLE REPORTED THAT THE CASE 895 TRACTOR IS IN NEED OF ONE ADDITIONAL GEAR FOR THE TRANSMISSION THAT IS BEING MACHINED TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:50 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
