MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 20, 2014
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JONATHAN WARD, JOSEPH OWENS AND JOHN LITTLE. ROADMAN – MIKE NOBLE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING WITH THE FOLLOWING CORRECTION. PERMISSION WAS GRANTED TO CUT THE TREE ON THE CAIN PROPERTY ON IMPERIAL ROAD. AS CORRECTED, ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
GUEST – ALAN WEIR – JUNE RD RESIDENT.
ROADMAN’S REPORT – ON HOLLY RD FOUR (4) LOADS OF STONE WERE APPLIED WHERE A LOGGING COMPANY IS CURRENTLY WORKING. THE CULVERT ALONG THE MARTIN PROPERTY WAS CLEANED. A 24 INCH CULVERT IS TO BE INSTALLED ON STAPH RD. PERMISSION WAS GRANTED TO ALLOW PART-TIME ROAD WORKER TANNER NOBLE TO ASSIST THE WEEK OF 3-24-14 TO IN FILLING POT HOLES.
THE FISCAL OFFICER REVIEWED THE FOLLOWING WITH THE BOARD – THE BALLOT LANGUAGE FOR THE ROAD DISTRICT II LEVY ON THE MAY 2014 BALLOT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE. IN REGARDS TO THE 2014 FORD F-550 TRUCK OTARMA IS NOW INSURING THE NEW TRUCK AND THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN SENT TO THE BMV TO TRANSFER THE LICENSE PLATES. THERE WILL BE A PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING BY ODOT ON 3-25-14 IN REGARDS TO THE SR 542 RELOCATION PROJECT. THE RISK MANAGEMENT UPDATES NEED COMPLETED AND RETURNED. ON 4-17-14 BILL LUCAS, OTARMA INSURANCE AGENT, WILL ATTEND TO REVIEW THE 2014 UPDATE. REPORTED THAT SEVERAL PUBLIC INFORMATION REQUESTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO PURCHASE 20 FEET OF 24 INCH PLASTIC CULVERT PIPE FROM MARLBORO SUPPLY. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. WARD REPORTED ON THE BWC SAFETY MEETING AND THE 2014 ANNUAL CARROLL CO BD OF HEALTH MEETING HE ATTENDED AND REPORTED VARIOUS UPDATES. HE ALSO STATED THAT HUSTON TRUCKING OF DELLROY IS AVAILABLE TO HAUL STONE AND BULK MATERIALS FOR THE TOWNSHIP.
J. LITTLE REPORTED ON THE UPDATE OF THE REPAIR OF THE CASE 895 TRACTOR.
J. OWENS STATED THAT SEVERAL OF THE TOWNSHIP CEMETARIES COULD USE UPGRADES TO IMPROVE THEIR APPEARANCES.
THE BOARD SET 3-22-2014 AT 8:00 AM FOR A WORK SESSION AT THE TOWNSHIP GARAGE.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:10 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
