THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES –
JOHN LITTLE, MICHAEL REED AND JOSEPH OWENS. FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
M. REED MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE
MEETING OF 12-15-2022. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE
ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT FOR 12-31-2022 – THAT WERE PRESENTED FOR
PAYMENT. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
CEMETARY REPORT – J. LITTLE REPORTED ON THE DEATHS OF JIMMY AND SHELVA
JEAN RHODEN OF IVORY RD. THIS MATTER MAY BE SUBJECT TO INDIGENT BURIALS.
J. OWENS MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED THAT J. LITTLE AND B. DOWNES RESEARCH
THE TOWNSHIP’S RESPONSIBILITIES FOR INDIGENT BURIALS UNDER THE OHIO REVISED
CODE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – REVIEWED VARIOUS CORRESPONDCE RECEIVED SINCE THE
LAST BOARD MEETING.
RESOLUTION 26-22 J. OWENS MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE BANK
OF MAGNOLIA CO AS THE ROSE TOWNSHIP DEPOSITORY OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE
PERIOD OF 1-1-2023 THROUGH 12-31-2023. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
RESOLUTION 27-22 J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE
FOLLOWING REALLOCATION OF FUNDS IN THE GAS TAX FUND FOR PAYROLL PURPOSES.
FROM 2021-330-420-0000 – $370.00 TO 2021-330-211-0000 – $360.00 AND 2021-330-213-0000 –
$10.00. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING LEAVE FOR
TOWNSHIP EMPLOYEES – TOM WITTS – PERSONAL LEAVE 21.5 HOURS FOR 12-21, 12-22
AND 12-27-2022, VACATION LEAVE 26.5 HOURS FOR 12-27, 12-28, 12-29 AND 12-30-2022.
RICHARD RENNIE – SICK LEAVE 11 HOURS FOR 12-20 AND 12-21-2022. ALL IN FAVOR,
MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO REMAIN WITH SEDGWICK MANAGED
CARE OHIO FOR 2023 TO HANDLE ANY WORKER’S COMPENSATION CLAIMS FOR THE
TOWNSHIP. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPOINT GARY GARDNER AS THE ROSE
TOWNSHIP REPRESENTATIVE TO THE QUAD AMBULANCE BOARD FOR 2023. ALL IN
FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
M. REED MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO SET BOARD POLICY FOR 2023 THAT
REGULAR BLANKET CERTIFICATES FOR THE TOWNSHIP WOULD BE VALID FOR NINETY
(90) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE EXPENSES FOR ELECTED
OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES WHO ATTEND THE 2023 OHIO TOWNSHIP ASSN ANNUAL
CONFERENCE IN COLUMBUS, OH. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS
ADJOURNED AT 8:30 AM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. LITTLE. ALL
IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
