MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
MAY 16, 2019
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOSEPH OWENS, JOHN LITTLE AND JONATHAN WARD. ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
GUEST – BILL LUCAS – AGENT – OTARMA INSURANCE – ANDERSON-CAMPBELL INSURANCE AGENCY.MR. LUCAS COMPLETED THE ANNUAL POLICY REVIEW OF THE TOWNSHIP’S VARIOUS COVERAGES AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS FROM THE BOARD.
THE CULVERT ON GRANADA RD ALONG THE CARINS PROPERTY NEEDS MEASURED FOR SIZE TO SECURE THE CORRECT CATCH BASIN.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – REPORTED ON THE VISIT OF THE IT RISK ASSESMENT,BY CAL ANDERSON FROM OTARMA. IT WAS NOTED THAT A CYBER SECURITY POLICY IS NEEDED OR UPDATED IF ONE IS NOT ALREADY COMPLETED. HE WILL BE SENDING RECOMENDATIONS FOR ITEMS TO BE COMPLETED AND SECURED TO UPDATE THE TOWNSHIP’S IT SECURITY.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING VACATION LEAVE REQUESTS : RICHARD RENNIE – 8 (EIGHT) HOURS FOR 5-29-2019 AND TOM WITTS – 16 (SIXTEEN) HOURS 6-3-2019 TO 6-4-2019. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE WAS CONTACTED BY JEFF WEBER OF HOPE RD ABOUT THE CULVERT NEAR THE GATE. AFTER DISCUSSION IT WAS DECIDED TO REPLACE THE OLD CULVERT WITH A 24 INCH CULVERT TO HELP THE WATER RUNOFF PROBLEM. SUGGESTED CONTACTING BROWN TWP ON THE USE OF THEIR DURAPATCH MACHINE FOR FILLING IN HOLES.
J. OWENS REPORTED THAT FABRIC WAS PLACED IN THE SOFT SPOT ON FLINT RD AND THAT IT HAS GREATLY HELPED THE ROAD. A THANK YOU TO JOE LITTLE EXCAVATING FOR THE DONATION OF THE FABRIC.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO HAVE THE FUEL TANK, DONATED BY JOE LITTLE, TO BE STEAM CLEANED BY RANDY SWINEHART. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWNES MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO PURCHASE A 12 FT WIDE ROLL OF FABRIC FROM MARLBORO SUPPLY. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:15 PM ON A MOTION BY J. LITTLE AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
