ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 1, 2013
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT: TRUSTEES – JOSEPH OWENS, JOHN LITTLE AND PHILIP PAVICK. ROADMAN – MIKE NOBLE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND P. PAVICK SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING AS PRESENTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
THE FISCAL OFFICER REVIEWED WITH THE BOARD THE FOLLOWING: THE BALLOT ISSUE LANGUAGE FROM THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS, THE BILLING ISSUE WITH VERIZON WIRELESS, THE CARROLL COUNTY TOWNSHIP ASSN FISH FRY, AND THE CLAIM WITH THE OHIO BUREAU OF WORKERS COMPENSATION.
RESOLUTION 18-13 J. LITTLE MOVED AND P. PAVICK SECONDED TO REQUEST THE ASSISTANCE AND SERVICES OF THE CARROLL COUNTY PROSECUTOR IN THE MATTER TO RESOLVE THE WATER RUNOFF FROM THE PRIVATE DRIVEWAY OF STEPHEN MARTIN ONTO HONEY RD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
THE BOARD REVIEWED AND DISCUSSED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: ROSEBUD MINING IN THE USE OF THE TOWNSHIP’S DRIVEWAY TO ACCESS THEIR DEEP MINE LOCATION AND THE BLASTING IN THE MINE AREA, CHESAPEAKE ENERGY AND THE CHIP/SEALING OF FLINT RD TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE SILVIS WELL SITE, ON IMPERIAL RD AND HOPE RD THE FILLING OF DITCH BERMS THAT HAVE WASHED OUT AND THAT A CULVERT NEEDS REPLACED ON AN OIL TANK BATTERY ON HALO RD NEAR THE MIKE GEISER PROPERTY.
J. LITTLE WILL CHECK WITH PERSON IN REGARDS TO THE INSURANCE CLAIM OF STONE COMING FROM HARRISON TOWNSHIP’S TRUCK AND HITTING AN ONCOMING VEHICLE WHILE DUST CONTROL OPERATIONS WERE BEING DONE.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND P. PAVICK SECONDED TO PURCHASE 100 TONS 1 X 0 SLAG AND 200 TONS #2 SLAG FROM THE LEVY CO. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROADMAN’S REPORT – M. NOBLE STATED THAT HE WILL BE GRADING THE FOLLOWING ROADS – SKELTON, GRANITE AND GRANADA.
P. PAVICK MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING TRANSFER IN THE APPROPRIATION BUDGET: FROM 2193-330-740-0000 $4000.00 TO 2193-330-420-0000 $4000.00. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:15 PM ON A MOTION BY J. LITTLE AND SECONDED BY P. PAVICK. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
