ROSE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
CARROLL COUNTY, OHIO. MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 19, 2017
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE, JOSEPH OWENS AND JONATHAN WARD. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J.LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – REPORTED THAT THE NEW HOLLAND T6050 TRACTOR HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND RETURNED FROM THE DEALER. DISCUSSED THE VARIOUS ROADS THAT ARE STILL IN NEED OF PATCHING EITHER WITH THE EMULSION AND STONE OR THE ASPHALT COLD PATCH. WAS AUTHORIZED BY THE BOARD TO ORDER 20 TON OF #8 LIMESTONE FOR THE PATCHING WORK.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – DISCUSSED THE INFORMATION RECIEVED FROM THE AUDITOR’S OFFICE OF THE MONTHLY COST TO RESIDENTS FOR THE FIRE AND ROAD RENEWAL LEVIES THAT ARE ON THE NOVEMBER 2017 ELECTION BALLOT. INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE AULTCARE HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE FOR THE TOWNSHIP RENEWAL WILL HAVE A 25% INCREASE IN COST FOR 2018. THE FINAL APPROVAL FOR THE VACATION OF HEMP RD EAST OF BARK RD HAS BEEN RECIEVED FROM THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND RECORDED WITH THE COUNTY RECORDER.
J. WARD REPORTED OF A WASHOUT ON FORT RD ALONG THE LONNIE SMITH PROPERTY AND THE ROAD SUPERVISOR WILL CHECK TO SEE WHAT IS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE ROADSIDE.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:05 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
