MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
MAY 7, 2015
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JONATHAN WARD, JOSPEPH OWENS AND JOHN LITTLE. ROAD SUPERVISOR – KEVIN DOWNES AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING AS PRESENTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
GUEST – PAUL EWING – ROSE RD RESIDENT
MR. EWING INQUIRED OF THE BOARD IN REGARDS TO WHERE THE PLACEMENT OF THE TOWNSHIP ROAD RIGHT -OF-WAY IS AS HE WANTS TO BUILD A RETAINING WALL ALONG THE ROAD AND NOT HAVE IT IN THE RIGHT-OF WAY. THE BOARD WILL MEET WITH HIM TO DETERMINE WHERE THE CORRECT PLACEMENT OF THE WALL CAN BE.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – DITCHING IS CONTINUING ON IRISH RD SOUTH END THEN THEY WILL GO TO THE NORTH END. A CULVERT HAS BEEN REPLACED ON HARVEST RD. REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE CASE MOWER TRACTOR AND TRUSHEL WELDING WILL FABRICATE A PLATE TO COVER THE SPREADER BOX ON THE 2014 FORD F-550 TRUCK IN PLACE OF PURCHASING ONE FROM AMERICAN ROADS MACHINERY. A ROAD SIGN POST IS NEEDED FOR THE INTERSECTION OF FRESNO AND BARK ROADS AND ROAD SIGNS ARE NEEDED FOR THE INTERSECTION OF ROSE AND FLINT ROADS.
J. LITTLE WILL CHECK WITH THE COUNTY FOR THE SIGN REPLACEMENT FOR BARK AND FRESNO ROADS AND WILL ORDER THE SIGNS FOR FLINT AND ROSE ROADS.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO HAVE THE ROAD SUPERVISOR CHECK WITH GRODHAUS & YOUNG FOR PRICING ON A BLADE EDGE FOR THE CHAMPION ROAD GRADER AND IF THE COST IS UNDER $500.00 TO PURCHASE ONE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
RESOLUTION 13-15 J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE 2015 FIRE CONTRACT WITH THE MOHAWK VALLEY JOINT FIRE DISTRICT FOR $4200.00. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO FORWARD TO THE PERSO ATTORNEY, THE LETTER RECIEVED FROM M. NOBLE’S ATTORNEY ADAM RUNKLE OF THE STARKEY LAW FIRM.. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS. IN REGARDS TO OBTAINING A DUMPSTER FROM THE SOLLID WASTE DISTRICT FOR TRASH CLEANUP THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED AT A LATER TIME. TO CHECK WITH THE SOLID WASTE DISTRICT ABOUT THE RECYCLING OF USED COMPUTER SYSTEM AND PRINTER.
A PRIORITY LIST WILL BE DEVELOPED ON WHICH TOWNSHIP ROADS WILL BE DITHCED AND GRADED IN PREPARATION OF THE APPLICATION OF DUST CONTROL MATERIAL. THIS WILL BE DONE AFTER DUST CONTROL BIDS HAVE BEEN RECIEVED AND COSTS ARE FORMULATED. THE BOARD WOULD LIKE TO HAVE INFORMATION AND INPUT MEETINGS WITH TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS IN REGARDS TO THE DUST CONTROL PROGRAM.
J. OWENS MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO SEND A REPLY TO THE OHIO DEPT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES TO APPEAL THE REAFFIRMED DECISION IN ALLOWING AN UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION CLAIM FOR FORMER EMPLOYEE MICHAEL NOBLE WITH A COPY ALSO BEING SENT TO THE PERSO ATTORNEY. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING : INCREASE IN THE REVENUE ACCOUNT BUDGET – 1000-532-0000 – $7883.76 AND INCREASE IN THE APPROPRIATION BUDGET – 1000-110-599-0000 – $7833.76 DUE TO RECIEVING ADDITIONAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDS. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:30 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY J. LITTLE. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
