MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 6, 2019
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – JOHN LITTLE AND JONATHAN WARD. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS, ROADMAN – RICHARD RENNIE AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT – WERE PRESENTED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.
J. WARD MOVED AND J. LITTLE SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – THE CULVERT ON GRANADA RD NEAR THE CARINS’ PROPERTY IS 24 INCHES IN DIAMETER. REQUESTED AND WAS GRANTED TO ORDER A SEMI-LOAD OF TYPE C RIP RAP FROM EAST FAIRFIELD. MOWING OF THE ROADSIDES IS CONTINUING USING BOTH MOWERS AND WILL BE COMPLETED SOON. ALSO HAVE BEEN CLEANING OUT DITCHES AND REPAIRING WASHOUTS AS NEEDED AFTER HEAVY RAINS.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE 2020 BUDGET HEARING WILL BE HELD DURING THE REGULAR MEETING ON 7-18-2019 AT 7:30 PM. RECIEVED NOTIFICATION OF A SMALL INCREASE OF THE COST OF THE GROUP HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE FOR 7-1-2019 TO 6-30-2020. THE CARRROLL CO TWP ASSN STEAK FRY IS ON 7-27-2019 AT THE KILGORE FIRE DEPT. CURRENTLY WORKING WITH CAL ANDERSON, IT RISK CONTROL FOR OTARMA ON DEVELOPING IT AND CYBER SECURITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
J. LITTLE MOVED AND J. WARD SECONDED TO CANCEL THE REGULARLY SCHEDULDED BOARD MEETING FOR 7-4-2019 DUE TO THAT DATE ALSO BEING A NATIONAL HOLIDAY. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
J. LITTLE REPORTED THE NEW SECTION OF THE UNION VALLEY CEMETARY WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL 225 PLOTS.
J. WARD REPORTED THAT BRAD GRAY HAD CONTACTED HIM TO TELL HIM THAT THE TOWNSHIP CEMETARIES ARE LOOKING GOOD. REVIEWED A LETTER RECIEVED FROM ROBIN DARR OF STALLION RD ABOUT THE CONDITION OF STALLION RD. HE WILL CONTACT HER TO ADDRESS HER CONCERNS AND INFORM HER OF THE WORK PLANNED FOR THAT ROAD THIS YEAR.DISCUSSED CONTACTING THE COUNTY ENGINEER IN REGARDS TO THE USE OF THEIR ROAD SWEEPER TO CLEAN VARIOUS ROADS. RECIEVED NOTICE FROM DOUG PALLAYE THAT HE IS EXTENDING HIS FENCE FURTHER TOWARDS HIS HOUSE ALONG FORT RD.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:40 PM ON A MOTION BY J. LITTLE AND SECONDED BY J. WARD. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
