MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 16, 2022
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT : TRUSTEES – MICHAEL REED AND JOSEPH OWENS. ROAD SUPERVISOR – TOM WITTS AND FISCAL OFFICER – BRUCE DOWNES.
J. OWENS MOVED AND M. REED SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE MEETING OF 6-2-2022 AS CORRECTED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
M. REED MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING BILLS – SEE ATTACHED PAYMENT LISTING REPORT FOR 6-9-2022 AND 6-16-2022 – THAT WERE PRESENTED FOR PAYMENT. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
ROAD SUPERVISOR’S REPORT – ROADSIDE MOWING WILL BE COMPLETED WHEN FLINT RD IS MOWED. BELTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON THE SMAAZ MOWER. SCRAP TIRES WILL BE TAKEN TO MINERVA BY 6-24-2022 UNDER THE CARROLL, COLUMBIANA & HARRISON WASTE DISTRICT PROGRAM FOR TOWNSHIPS. THE DUST CONTROL MATERIAL IS HERE AND READY FOR APPLICATION TO TOWNSHIP ROADS.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT – STATED THAT THE RETRO PAYMENTS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR 2020 – 2021, PER THE AUDITOR MANAGEMENT REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS AND 2022 UPDATE HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND PROCESSED. REPORTED RECEIVING A COMMON PLEAS COURT FILING REGARDING AN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED 6-2020 AND THE DOCUMENT HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO PERSO AND OTARMA. DISCUSSED THE ROAD DISTRICT II 2.0 MILL LEVY THAT IS ELIGIBLE TO BE PLACED ON THE 11-2022 GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT AND THE AMOUNTS THE LEVY WOULD GENERATE. FURTHER DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD AT THE NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING. A DRIVEWAY PERMIT APPLICATION WAS RECEIVED FROM AARON STOVER FOR HIS PROPERTY ON FARGO RD.
M. REED MOVED AND J. OWENS SECONDED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING LEAVE REQUESTS FOR RICHARD RENNIE : SICK LEAVE – 4 HOURS ON 6-10-2022 AND PERSONAL LEAVE – 16 HOURS FOR 6-15-2022 THROUGH 6-16-2022. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION APPROVED.
M. REED REPORTED THAT THE STOP SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF GRANADA AND SKELETON RD HAD BEEN STOLEN AND IS NOW REPLACED. RECEIVED A CONCERN OF THE MOWING OF THE EAST SIDE OF SKELETON RD, WHICH IS HARRISON TWP, AND THE BOARD CONCLUDED FOR ROSE TOWNSHIP TO MOW BOTH SIDES.
AS THERE WAS NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 8:00 PM ON A MOTION BY J. OWENS AND SECONDED BY M. REED. ALL IN FAVOR, MOTION PASSED.
